The building was initially roofed and seated approximately 750 persons. Its cavea with a northern orientation was supported by arched constructions built on pillars of caster masonry (opus caementicium).

Paradise Beach is one of the most famous beaches on Kos Island, located around 7 km just before reaching Kefalos Village. It truly is a paradise beach (that’s how the beach earned its name in the first place) with fine white sand and crystal clear waters.

In a distance 3.5 kilom. northwest of Kos town, at the slopes of a low mount with a view at the coasts of Asia Minor, there is the monumental complex of Asclepio. The space was located in the beginnings of 20th century by the German archaeologist R. Herzog and the research continued later Italian archeologists who attempted, and the restoration of the monument projecting mainly to the Roman side. The complex is extended in three mounds.

Tigaki is located 11 kilometers far from Kos town and 7 kilometers north of Asfendiou village. Tigaki’s permanent residents reach around 250. It is a holiday resort which has undertaken a lot of development during the past decades especially along its long sandy coastline on the northern part of the island. Formed from volcano eruptions, Nisyros is a place of wild beauty. According to mythology, during the period of the Gigantomachy (war of the Giants) Poseidon (the god of the sea) plucked a rock from Kos and in anger threw it at the giant Polivotis with the intention of killing him.
